My late grandfather, Robert James Gibb, had a great desire to learn more about his ancestors and his family history. He left Scotland in search of a better life and came to be employed first by the Grand Trunk Railway in Eastern Canada (1906) and later by the city of Edmonton, in Alberta, Canada (1910). He included what he knew of his family tree in a diary of his early life in Eastern Canada, but expressed the regret that it was not more. Robert passed on his interest in genealogy to me, and while the Gibb line remains a bit of a mystery, I think he would be pleased with the progress that has been made. Welcome to my website.
